Condor Softshell Jacket: “All Conditions Performer” by Nutnfancy

Hook into a very tactical and useful outwear shell for around . In my extensive testing of this Condor Tactical Softshell jacket, I came away very impressed. It features amazing storage (8 well-designed pockets!), a perfectly designed and featured hood, great freedom of movement, long-enough sizing (probably order one size up dudes), great colors, pit zips, high quality stitching and zippers, and impressive attention to detail (like moral patches on the sleeves as well, Chums-brand zipper pulls, and perfect monochromatic color execution, and inner cell phone pockets). It is a copy of the also-excellent but stratospherically-priced TAD Gear “Stealth Hoodie” which in 2010 retails for 0. Wind, snow, and light rain resistance proved to be excellent in our RunNGuns in trying conditions; their breathable membrane seems to work as advertised and doesn’t impart the clamminess that other Gore-Tex knockoffs do. I slammed this shell into the dirt, ran with it in the snow, mud, and rain and it came away no worse for wear and washed nicely. The Condor Softshell offers a near perfect all-around tactical or even around-town outer layer that you will fall in love with. /////////////////// Nutnfancy Likability Scale: 9 out of 10 (extending sizing would be make it a 10) /////////////// Music: www.torley.com ////////////// See either www.firearmspro.com (use code “nutnfancy” or www.uscav.com (use code “cavtnp”, also our friend Brian Howell has another good review on this jacket!) for

@AirForceAce3571 Amen, couldn’t have said it better. By the time your ready to buy it, you know everything about the product, and that it will hold up to wear and tear. Love it!

  2. @intrepidgator I doubt it, he seems like a cool guy and I really do enjoy many of his videos, its just the length of some of the videos is too much. You look at the most popular YouTube Artists and most of their vidoes are shorter than 10 minutes. No one wants to watch a 30-45 min video unless its a TV show lol. Regardless though, Nut makes very valid and IMO FAIR reviews. Just wish I wasn’t fast forwarding all the time.

  3. @intrepidgator i know he stresses way too much over what people post on his vids, taking the noise way too seriously, which is an indication of one starting to see themselves as being more important than they really are.

  5. random question, but why do you have your handgun across the chest? is it only for practicality or is there another reason?

@DominicanOps he’s giving the same detailed, through review as he does anything else, while mixing in philosophy along the way. This is the standard TNP formula that many of us here (myself included) prefer. It allows us to get the highly detailed info we need as opposed to a 5 minute vid that just glazes over a jacket, and keeps us from wasting our $. But it’s not for everyone I guess….

  13. I’ve had mine for a few months, Nutn, and it’s one of the best jackets I have worn. My right breast pocket holds my iPhone nice and snug, too.

The largest con of this jacket is the stitching inside, and the zippers. I just don’t like them, and the zippers haven’t held up as well as they should have in a tough environment.

  17. I have this jacket and it gets the job done. I also have other softshells like the Northface APEX bionic. Mine already has loose stitching but its still holding up. I have it for about few months and washed it about 20 times.

If you think TAD gear ( made in my hometown SF, CA), you should check out Arcteryx or the Arcteryx Leaf tactical line that is being worn by Travis Haley. $500-700 bucks for a softshell. I’m going to buy a mid layer one though because i’m a mall ninja.

  21. Lovin the TNP. No nonsense, practicle info and damn entertaining. Unlike some of the dry or distracting, eccentric reviews on field gear.
